Affiliate Business's MUST KNOW TERMS

Payment Period

How often you're paid.

Most affiliate programs pay its publishers every month, meaning you will receive a check for your earnings every month (i.e. In October, you will receive the check for what you earned in September). Some programs pay every week or every 2 weeks.

Most programs that use the traditional mail-in check method pay monthly, though those who have decided to adopt the online debit card / credit card payment method via Paypal usually have shorter payment periods.

Typically, if a program has good reputation, and you know it will pay on time, the payment period is not a big factor to take into consideration.

If you're trying out new programs and you have found little or no feedbacks from their existing publishers, we suggest you look into the payment period and make sure it's reasonable.
